Inflammation & Rehydration Protocol
Alcohol-related inflammation reduced, hydration and micronutrients restored.
INFLAMMATION & REHYDRATION PROTOCOL
HANG acts before the event on the systemic inflammation induced by alcohol metabolites, and supports fluid, electrolyte and vitamin repletion afterwards — with ingredients supported by human RCTs, not by in vitro or murine studies alone.
The hangover category is dominated by dihydromyricetin (DHM), a trending ingredient with aggressive marketing but supported almost exclusively by preclinical animal studies rather than robust human RCTs. Meanwhile the market ignores the most obvious and demonstrated mechanism: dehydration from alcohol-induced suppression of antidiuretic hormone, and the acute depletion of B vitamins and hepatic glutathione during ethanol metabolism.
Among the anti-hangover ingredients currently on the market, the only one with a controlled human RCT published in a high-impact journal (Wiese et al., JAMA 2004): taken about 5 hours before alcohol consumption, it significantly reduced hangover symptom severity (nausea, dry mouth, loss of appetite) by roughly 50%, correlated with a reduction in C-reactive protein.
Timing is the distinctive part — this is taken before drinking, not the morning after. We position it as the pre-loading step of the protocol.
We built this backwards from the evidence, not from the trend. The one ingredient with a human RCT in a major journal goes first — and it only works if you take it before you go out. Everything else addresses the two mechanisms that are actually documented: ADH suppression and acute B-vitamin depletion.
Two-step protocol: pre-load before the event for the anti-inflammatory layer; repletion afterwards for fluid, electrolytes and B vitamins.
We deliberately exclude dihydromyricetin (DHM), currently very fashionable in the sector: the supporting evidence is almost entirely preclinical (murine models) and does not meet our human-evidence standard. Final formulation of this SKU is still being locked with the manufacturer.
Two capsules with water, preferably before alcohol consumption or before sleep.

BUILD A ROUTINE
Do I take it before or after?+
Before. The prickly pear evidence is built on intake roughly 5 hours ahead of drinking. Taking it the morning after misses the mechanism.
Why no DHM?+
Because the human evidence isn't there. It is preclinical, and we don't build claims on animal models.
